This 1909 American Double Eagle has a face value of $20. The "S" mint mark denotes the San Francisco mint It is 0.9675 troy-ounce of fine gold. Issued from 1908 - 1933, the $20 Double Eagle features the Saint-Gauden design under the "LIBERTY" heading. The reverse has the eagle in flight and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TWENTY DOLLARS" and "IN GOD WE TRUST".
Graded to MS63+ (UNC). Slightly weak or average strike with moderate abrasions and hairlines of varying sizes.
