Rare Russian 1884 5 Rouble Gold coin from the reign of Aleksandr the Third. The Cyrillic letters 'СПБ' (which we have represented through their similarity to the English letters 'CNB') show that this coin was minted at the Saint Petersburg Mint.

Around: '1 золотник 39 долей чистаго золота ' (1 Zolotnik of 39 parts pure gold).
Reverse
The imperial, double-headed eagle of Russia. This design features a two-headed eagle clutching an orb and sceptre, with a crown above both heads. At the centre of the eagle is the national shield of Russia showing Saint George the Victorious on horseback, with various other shields within the eagle's wings.
