This is because they contain exactly 1 troy ounce of fine (24 karat) gold but also a fractional amount of copper to give the Krugerrand its distinct orange colouring.
The coin features Paul Kruger, the South African president at the time of the coin's creation, and the Springbok - the national animal of South Africa.

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.
Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
