2002 gold proof £5 Quintuple Sovereign coin. This year of Sovereign featured a unique shield design to mark the Queen's golden Jubilee, making it a very special and collectable release.
This proof coin has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.
Graded to PF70 (FDC). A coin with no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification.
