Description

The 2023 Britannia 1/2oz is a British gold coin, minted by the Royal Mint. The weight of the coin is 15.58 grams with a fineness of 999.9 (24 carat gold), this means it contains 15.55174 grams of pure gold. The diameter of the coin is 27 mm. The 1/2oz Britannias have a face value of 50 Pounds and are legal tender in the UK.

The obverse of the King Charles III 2023 Britannia 1/2oz Gold Coin features the King's official portrait, designed by Martin Jennings. This effigy of King Charles III shows his profile facing left, without a crown. This is the first official portrait of Charles III to be used on coins minted by The Royal Mint. The sculptor's initials, ‘M.J.’, are visible at the bottom of the head.

The inscription on the coin reads 'CHARLES III.D.G.REX.F.D'.

The reverse of the 2023 1/2oz Gold Britannia features the classic figure of Lady Britannia, designed by Philip Nathan, with the text ‘NATHAN’ at the bottom of the coin.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
