Description

The 2024 Quarter Sovereign is a British gold coin, minted by the Royal Mint. The weight of the coin is 1.997 grams with a fineness of 916.7 (22 carat gold), this means it contains 1.8306 grams of pure gold. The diameter of the coin is 13.5 mm. The Quarter Sovereigns have a face value of 25 Pence (1/4 of a Pound) and are legal tender in the UK.

The coin has no mintmark, indicating it was struck by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, Wales.

The obverse of the King Charles III 2024 Gold 1/4 Sovereign features the King's official portrait, designed by Martin Jennings. This effigy of King Charles III shows his profile facing left, without a crown. This is the first official portrait of Charles III to be used on coins minted by The Royal Mint. The sculptor's initials, ‘M.J.’, are visible at the bottom of the head.

The inscription on the coin reads 'CHARLES III.DEI.GRA.REX.FID.DEF'.

The reverse of the 2024 Gold Quarter Sovereign features the traditional design of Saint George and the dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci, as well as the sculptor's initials B.P. and the year of issue.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
