2022 Piedfort Proof 50p Gold Coin Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Boxed

The 2022 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Piedfort (double thickness) Proof gold 50p coin is one of several coins issued by The Royal Mint to honour the life and service of the late queen.

As with all coins in the range, the obverse (front) of the coin features Martin Jenning's portrait of King Charles III for the first time, making it a historic release. The reverse features a design created for the 1953 coronation crown designed by herald painter Edgar Fuller and modelled by Cecil Thomas.

This Proof fifty pence coin is struck in 22 carat (916.7) gold and weighs a total of 31g. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
