2021 American Eagle Gold Coin 1oz Type II

Brand new 2021 1oz American gold Eagle coins, featuring the new Type II reverse design. The new Type 2 gold Eagle is the first update to the design of these historic coins since 1986, and will be used for at least 25 years per US law.

As is traditional for this series, the 2021 Type 2 Eagle is struck in 22 carat (916.7 fine) gold for additional durability, and weighs 33.93 grams - for a troy ounce of pure gold.

The new Type II design is by artist Jennie Norris and was sculpted by the US Mint's Renata Gordon. It features a close-up focus on the national bird in stunning detail, and features the normal inscriptions surrounding it. The new design promises to freshen up the long-standing series, as well as allowing the US Mint to update it's anti-counterfeiting measures.

As the first year of issue for the new design, these coins are sure to be a huge hit among both investors and collectors.
