Description

The 2026 Queen's Lion 1oz gold coin is the eighth bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. The collection features the 10 'Beasts' statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court and which represent the families of the King's line.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse side of the coin features the Queen's Lion, a symbol of royal power and nobility. The Queen's Lion also holds a shield with the badge of Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's beloved third wife. This design is not only for visual appeal but also has enhanced security features as a protection against counterfeiting. The obverse side of the coin presents the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The 2026 Queen's Lion 1oz gold coin contains exactly one troy ounce (31.1 grams) of pure 999.9 gold. As with other coins from The Royal Mint, it is considered legal tender with a face value of £100. The coin will be in production for a few months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible in order to get all the coins of the series.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
