Description

1814 20 French Francs gold coin. It features the uniformed bust of Louis XVIII and the reverse has a wreath and coat of arms. The year and mint mark are below the wreath, whilst the value is above the wreath to the right. The text on the obverse reads "LOUIS XVIII, ROI DE FRANCE" and on the reverse it reads "PIECE DE 20 FRANCS". The "L" mint mark indicates that the coin was minted in Bayonne.
