Description

The 2024 African Elephant 1oz gold coin is a legal tender coin issued by the Somali Republic as part of their African Wildlife series. The coin is struck from 999.9 pure gold, and weighs 1 ounce or 31.1 grams.

The obverse side of the coin features the Somalian coat of arms, which depicts two leopards, a shield and two spears, along with the year of mintage, and value of 1,000 shillings. The reverse side of the coin features an African elephant whose the design changes every year, with this years design featuring a playful calf under the African sun with acacia trees in the background. It is accompanied by the inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE" and "ELEPHANT" in addition to the weight and purity of the coin "1 oz AU 999.9".

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
