Description

This 1869 coin is the second version of the 100 French Franc gold coin issued under Napoleon III. It features Napoleon III wearing a laurel crown on the obverse by Jean-Jacques Barre and the shield design on the reverse. This gold coin also features a raised inscription around the edges. Mintmark BB denotes the Strasbourg Mint.

Graded to AU55 (NEF). Slight wear on less than 50% of the design. Full details.
