Description

A 23.5kt version of the half sovereign was also minted with this design and contains slightly more gold - it is significantly more golden in colour compared to the 22kt version. This 23.5kt (98% pure) Gold half sovereign coin features the 3 Legged Triskellion in a shield and the portrait of Elizabeth II. Text reads 1965 QUOCUNQUE JECERIS STABIT and 1765 BICENTENARY OF THE REVESTMENT ACT 1965. As with many of the Pobjoy Mint issues of this era, some coins are slightly heavier than the normal coin specification (3.99g) - this is normal.
