Description

A Mauritian 1000 Rupees gold coin. This coin was issued in 1975 only. Fewer than 2,000 bullion coins were minted and fewer than 750 proof editions issued.

The 1000 Rupees coin was minted to .900 fineness and weighs 33.437 grams. It features the head of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a Mascarene paradise flycatcher on the reverse. Text reads QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND 1975 and MAURITIUS 1000 RUPEES.

This coin was produced by the Royal Mint in conjunction with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCNNR). The coin collection was released between 1974 and 1975.

Fully Insured Delivery
