Description

A four coin proof set issued by the Royal Mint for the Solomon Islands to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea. It features 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz coins. Limited to 500 sets. Boxed with certificate.

The 1oz coin shows the USS Lexington, an American aircraft carrier, in flames. Crew members who have managed to escape can be seen in lifeboats.

The 1/2 oz coin shows the Shoho, a Japanese light aircraft carrier, in flames. Two Devastator torpedo bombers can also be seen flying away.

The 1/4 oz coin shows the USS Yorktown, an American aircraft carrier, and a formation of Wildcat fighters from the Lexington flying above it.

The 1/10th oz coin shows an aerial battle between American Wildcats and Japanese bombers.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
