2023 8g Chinese Panda Gold Coin

A beautiful, brand new 8 gram 2023 Chinese Panda gold coin, struck in pure 999 fine gold, with a face value of 100 Yuan. The coin features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing on its obverse and the reverse features a new panda design each year making these a very collectible series. This year's design depicts two young pandas in a tree with a younger bother extending a paw to his sister perhaps to help her. The coins design is by Tong Fan who has called the scene “accompanying love”.

In 2016 the Panda coin range changed in size from the troy ounce measurement used by other international coin manufacturers to the nearest equivalent metric values. As such, this 8g 2023 Chinese Panda coin contains just slightly more gold than the 7.775g found in the traditional quarter ounce coins.
