Description

The 2025 Greyhound of Richmond 1oz gold coin is the seventh bullion coin in The Royal Mint's Royal Tudor Beasts bullion series, celebrating the ten heraldic creatures that flank the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. These beasts were commissioned by Henry VIII as powerful symbols of lineage and legitimacy, and today serve as a compelling narrative of Tudor history through numismatic design. This release features the Greyhound of Richmond, an emblem associated with loyalty and honour, as well as the House of Lancaster. The greyhound was favoured by Henry VIII to underline his paternal heritage and right to rule.

The reverse of the 2025 Tudor Greyhound 1oz gold coin features a modern yet historically informed interpretation of the greyhound, created by artist David Lawrence. The creature is shown poised and alert, with stylised detailing drawn from the original stone statue. The background includes a surface animation security feature, adding visual depth and deterring counterfeiting.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
