Description

In 2007 the Royal Mint issued a commemorative £2 proof gold coin to celebrate 300 years of the Act of Union between England and Scotland. Only 750 of these coins were issued. No box or certificate .

The Two Pound Gold Coin is also referred to as the Double Sovereign. It contains 14.63 grams of gold (twice the weight of a standard Sovereign).

The design was produced by the Scottish painterYvonne Holton. It features four jigsaw components; two with the Portcullis design to represent the governments, and two pieces for each of the English Rose and Scottish Thistle. Due to her nationality you can find the artist initials YH just beneath the thistle.

This product is supplied as 'coin only' in a plastic capsule. There is no box or certificate.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
