The 2023 JRR Tolkien £2 gold proof coin is a beautiful collectible coin that celebrates the legendary creator of Middle-Earth, and some of the greatest fantasy novels every written. The coin marks 50 years since his death.

The coin is created using two different types of 22-carat gold, where the inner portion is yellow gold and the outer rim 'rose' gold giving an attractive two-tone effect. It features the text ‘NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST’ inscribed around the edge. The reverse features the 'JRRT' monogram Tolkien used as a distinctive signature on his books, letters, and other documents.

J.R.R. Tolkien was a British writer, philologist, and academic renowned for his imaginative and immersive fantasy works. His most famous creations include The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Drawing from his extensive knowledge of languages and mythologies, Tolkien crafted a meticulously detailed and enchanting fictional universe known as Middle-Earth, filled with its own creatures, languages, and epic history.

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
