2022 Proof 1/4oz 25th Anniversary of Harry Potter Gold Coin The Hogwarts Express Boxed

The 2022 Quarter Ounce Hogwarts Express gold Proof coin from The Royal Mint's Harry Potter series. This series celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the publication of the first book. This is the second of four coins in this series.

The Harry Potter book series has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling book series of all time. The first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.

The reverse of this Harry Potter coin features a design by Jim Kay, and shows the Hogwarts Express, the train all Hogwarts students take to reach the magical school. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, making this one of the final coins to depict Her Majesty.

With a denomination of £25 and containing a quarter ounce (7.77g) of fine gold, this 24 carat gold coin comes in a specially designed display case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity guaranteeing its limited edition. It also comes with a special booklet detailing the rise of the band, and is provided in the original Royal Mint outer box.
