Description

A four coin proof set issued by the Royal Mint for the Falkland Islands to commemorate a number of important Falklands anniversaries. Features 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz coins. Limited to 400 sets. Boxed with certificate.

The 1oz and 1/10th oz coins commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first reported sighting of the Islands. They show Captain John Davis' ship Desire.

The 1/2 oz coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Falkland Islands Defence Force. It shows a guard in ceremonial uniform, holding the badge of the force. In the background, a coastal patrol can be seen pointing towards the sea.

The 1/4 oz coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the consecration of Christchurch Cathedral. It shows a cross, a bishop's mitre, and a staff, all in front of the cathedral.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
