Born on November 14, 1948, at Buckingham Palace, Charles Philip Arthur George, now King Charles III, ascended the throne on September 8, 2022, following over 70 years as the heir apparent. Passionate about the arts, architecture, and environmental causes, he champions sustainability by working harmoniously with nature. Celebrating his 75th birthday, this coin features a design by Royal Mint's Dan Thorne which has been personally approved by The King. It features the King's royal cypher, with the number 75, framed by oak leaves and delphiniums.

The 2023 75th Birthday 1/40oz gold proof coin contains one fortieth of an ounce of 999.9 pure gold making it the smallest and most affordable proof gold coin produced by The Royal Mint. As a proof coin it has a highly polished finish and was struck multiple times with specially prepared dies to give it a sharp, detailed design. It comes in an official Royal Mint presentation card, making this a wonderful keepsake to remember such a momentous occasion.

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
