Description

The Royal Mint has commemorated C. S. Lewis' enduring classic, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," with a UK 50p coin that pays homage to the beloved work of fantasy fiction. The coin's reverse features an original illustration by Pauline Baynes, taken from the book's original publication, with the enchanting characters Mr. Tumnus and Lucy. On the obverse, the coin features the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

This coin adds a touch of color to the original illustration bringing it to life, it is presnted in an acrylic display case which can be viewed from both sides. The accompanying packaging provides a succinct yet captivating overview of the tale, this coin stands as a heartfelt tribute to a timeless work that continues to captivate readers seven decades after its first publication.

Production is limited to 5,000 coins.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
