This is the Irish 50 ECU Gold Coin, issued in 1990 as the first gold coin they have released since the pistoles and double pistoles of 1646.

The coin was released to commemorate the Irish Presidency of the the EEC and produced by Pobjoy Mint. The coin itself is 15 grams total at 22-karat, so contains 13.75 grams of fine gold. It is as pictured, with no box, but it is in very good condition.

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
