2024 Isle of Man Noble Gold Coin 1oz

A 2024 1oz gold Noble coin from the Isle of Man produced by the Tower Mint in London.

The reverse of this gold coin features a historic Viking longboat called 'Thusly'. Seagulls surround the vessel, with waves depicted beneath the bow. A Viking knit surrounds the rim of the coin, and the Isle of Man's flag - a triskelion of armoured legs - appears in a frame at the top of the coin. On the obverse is a portrait of King Charles III along with the year 2024 and the country of issue.

The strong Viking theme relates to the history of the island, having once been the Kingdom of Mann and conquered by Norse leaders, with the King of Dublin and the Earls of Orkney ruling the isle. The design also relates to the old English Noble, which was minted during the reign of Edward III and also featured a ship.

The 2024 one ounce gold Noble coin contains 99.9% pure gold and is official legal tender of the Isle of Man, it has a limited mintage of only 500 pieces.
