Description

The new 2021 Britannia one ounce gold coin is the first of a generation of ultra secure bullion coins from The Royal Mint.

Produced in 24-karat gold (999.9 fineness) and containing 31.1g of gold, this 1oz gold coin is amongst the finest gold bullion available for investors.

The coin's reverse side still features the lady Britannia, but now has four new additional design elements for added security. These are a special effect background to mimic waves, additional lines on Britannia's shield, Latin text around an inner ring of the coin, and a new holographic spot which changes between a trident and padlock depending on the coin's angle.

The obverse of the 2021 Britannia still displays the fifth and most recent portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, first introduced in 2015. It was designed by the Royal Mint's own engraver, Jody Clark - the first time a Royal Mint employee has been selected.

All of our coins are sent out in protective plastic capsules, but every 10 coins will be grouped in a protective Royal Mint coin tube.

Fully Insured Delivery

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the United States under $500 will be sent with the Royal Mail International Service, while anything between $500-$2,000 will be sent with FedEx. Orders greater than $2,000(up to $40,000) will be sent by UPS.

Delivery is free and fully insured, but there is a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders over 1.6kg will be sent via UPS,with a 3-4 day delivery estimate (subject to change due toCovid-19). Royal Mail orders can be upgraded to FedEx for quicker shipping.
