2020 Britannia One Ounce Gold Coin

Brand new 2020 One Ounce Gold Britannia Coins, Britannia gold coins remain pure 24-carat (999.9) gold for the fourth year running.

Gold Britannias are the most popular one ounce gold coin for larger UK based private investors, as they are Capital Gains Tax Free (CGT Exempt).

A British bullion gold coin first introduced in 1987 with a face value of £100.00 as a 22-carat coin. The Britannia is now a fine gold coin made in 24-carat since 2013.

The coin features the fifth and most recent portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, first introduced in 2015. It was designed by the Royal Mint's own engraver, Jody Clark, and - like the third portrait - sees the Queen wearing the King George IV State Diadem. This is the crown that is typically worn for the annual State Opening of Parliament.
